The traditional floristry and gardening company is charting a new course. With a corporate-design relaunch, we’ve re-shaped Kubart’s brand identity into a modern form.

The Assignment

Kubart is a family business in its fourth generation. The company wanted to bring its 1980s logo into the present day — while at the same time reflecting its passion for houseplants, herbs, garden design and the freshness of its offering. Our mission was to create a visual world that represents the brand identity in a modern, subtle—and yet unmistakably unique—way.

Typography

The new typography reflects Kubart’s precision in garden planning: a sans-serif, linear typeface with rounded shapes that evoke the natural curves of a well-tended garden. The floral elements create a deliberate contrast and give the typography personality.

The Logo

The leaf — which in the original logo was displayed separately from the wordmark — is now organically rooted in the “K” of “Kubart.” The leaf remains a distinctive element of the brand, but now blends seamlessly into the modernized lettering, creating a harmonious overall image.

The Color Palette

During the relaunch process, the formerly bright colours were transformed into a palette of muted, earthy tones. The new color world underlines Kubart’s affinity to nature and visually expresses the brand’s values.
